HOW IT ALL WORKS
What to expect when you visit us for the first time
At Merrill Chiropractic, we want you to enjoy your experience of starting care with us. That's why we have the following steps set in place to make sure we do a thorough evaluation your health concerns and give you the best recommendations to improve!

Step 7
When you arrive for your second appointment, a Report of Finding will be conducted at which time the cause of your condition or any abnormal findings will be discussed. After reviewing your case, the doctor will decide if you are a candidate for chiropractic care! A thorough explanation of care recommendations and action steps will be discussed, including finances and how we can help you reach your health goals.
Step 6
We know that you are excited to begin your journey to better health so we briefly view the x-rays to make sure there are no contraindications to treatment. If there are no contraindications, we will generally adjust you on your first visit! This then concludes the initial evaluation. It will then take the doctor 24 hours to further review all findings from the history, exam, and x-rays to come up with the appropriate care plan to get you feeling at your best again. A second appointment must be scheduled within 1-2 days for you to return to hear the doctors findings. This appointment is completely covered by the initial exam fee!
Step 5
A set of Chiropractic postural specific x-rays will be taken to have an accurate assessment of any damage and misalignments in the spine. Our X-ray system allows us to immediately see your spine without processing films and minimizing our need for re-takes while allowing us to apply imaging techniques to better visualize the structures we will be working with. A good majority of the recommendations and care received will be based on these x-ray findings.
Step 4
A comprehensive chiropractic exam is performed to assess the overall function of the body and help identify any upstream problems that may be contributing to your health problems.
This includes:
specific spinal health examination
postural evaluation
flexibility and motion tests
any neurological testing needed
The exam provides vital information leading the doctor to a better understanding of your current state of health.
Step 3
A one-on-one consultation will be conducted to discuss your health issues and goals and uncover the layers of past damage/ trauma to help determine the cause of your health concerns.
Step 2
All new patients are requested to fill out the new patient health application and all other authorization forms as completely as possible. We know your time is valuable, so you can skip this step in the office by filling them out before your first visit. Simply print out the forms located below and complete the forms before your initial consultation to get things rolling.
